Create a Zine

Come craft a zine with Mary Thaler, author and illustrator of numerous comic zines!

Beloved by poets, artists, and activists, zines are small, handmade books that anyone can make to share art, stories, or information. In this 60-minute workshop, kids will come up with an idea for what they want to say and use art supplies to turn their message into a zine they can share with friends.

Parents may participate as observers and do not need to book tickets for themselves.

This activity is offered as a one-time event before the start of the next season of the S.T.E.A.M. Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). This program welcomes children ages 8 to 12 who love to experiment, create, and learn more about the world around them.

This event is presented as part of the Express Yourself—From Thought to Zine project, made possible thanks to the support of the Government of Canada.
