Learn How to Duplicate Stitch

Learn how to duplicate stitch

This is a stitching technique that duplicates the look of knit stitches.

Join us for an introduction to duplicate stitching. This is type of embroidery stitch that looks like knitting and is worked over top of existing stitches in a knit garment to create a design. It can be used to create a small embellishment, or worked in larger sections instead of doing colour work in your knitting project. This technique is also be used to repair small holes in knitted clothing.

Participants will receive guided instruction from a talented young knitter who will share her knowledge with us for the afternoon. Come and be inspired to add a personal touch to an item of clothing.

All materials are provided to learn this technique, however, if you have a something in particular you would like to work on, and wool/yarn you would like to work with, you’re welcome to bring it with you.

This workshop is free, offered in partnership with Quebec High School. Spots are limited — 12 maximum.
