Set in a predominantly francophone environment, the documentary follows their daily lives as they navigate language, identity, and belonging in the city. Alongside these personal stories, local English-language organizations share their work welcoming and orienting newcomers. The film also examines the broader history of English-speaking immigrants to Quebec City.

Blending video ethnography and research-creation, the documentary by QUESCREN Research Associate Anita Aloisio captures the adaptation to a new environment in real time.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to join a Q&A moderated by Patrick Donovan with director Anita Aloisio and featured film participants. Refreshments will be served after the discussion.

The film is subtitled in both English and French, and the post-screening conversation will be conducted in both languages.
