Morrin Centre: Express Yourself: Documentary Photography and Visual Narration Workshop
Express Yourself:
Documentary Photography and Visual Narration Workshop
Documentary photography begins long before we lift a camera. Observe and discover the extraordinary within ordinary life!
During this workshop, you will explore curiosity, light, perspective, composition, and storytelling through a series of simple, hands-on photographic challenges.
No technical photography experience is required. Please bring a mobile device with you to take photos.
Participants will:
• discover the principles of documentary photography
• learn to notice stories hidden in everyday life
• participate in hands-on creative exercises
• share images and reflections in a welcoming group conversation
Following the workshop, you will also be invited to create a small documentary project as a zine.
