Join Voice of English-speaking Québec (VEQ), in cooperation with Éducaloi, for an informative and engaging workshop on fraud awareness.

Fraud can affect anyone — no matter their age, background, or experience.
Our “Fraud: It Doesn’t Just Happen to Others” workshop helps participants understand how fraud works and how to protect themselves. Through real-life inspired examples, you’ll learn to recognize common fraud techniques and discover where and how to report attempted fraud.

During workshop we will discuss:

  1. Romance scams

  2. Phishing and online identity theft

  3. Immigration-related fraud

  4. Online purchase scams

  5. “Loved one in trouble” schemes

  6. Risky investment offers

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to understand what fraud is and how it occurs, recognize the most common fraud schemes, and identify the appropriate steps and resources for reporting fraud.
