Out & About offers English speakers (50+) free transportation to various community activities while providing the opportunity to get out, socialize, and bond with others. Weekly outings include shopping trips, nature visits, excursions to l’Île d’Orléans, visits to museums, ice cream, and more!

Tickets are 6$ plus tax.
You will need your vaccine passport to get lunch at a local restaurant.

Out and About is up and running again!
Voice of English-speaking Québec invites people aged 50+ living in the Northern Perimeter to hop on the bus as we go Out and About.
Our first outing will be a private tour of the Château Frontenac on Monday, March 7th.
The tour is about an hour long. There are a few stairs, however adaptations are possible for those who have reduced mobility.
We will stop at a local café for a light lunch after the visit.
A vaccine passport and I.D will be required.

In this activity we will travel to England on a journey to discover famed mystery writer, AgathaChristie, to learn more about the woman whose books remain outsold only by Shakespeare. We will watch a documentary taking us to the places she lived, the landscapes that inspired her and meet the people who she encountered and found themselves immortalized in her extraordinary canon of work.
After, we will have a book discussion on mystery stories and perhaps you will walk away with a new idea for your next book to read.

VEQ’s Out & About invites you to hop on a bus and visit the beautiful and quaint Ile d’Orléans – We will visit Lavander fields (with gift shop), stop by a Farmer’s market and have lunch at a local restaurant — or packing a lunch is an option as well (10:30 am to 2:30 pm)
NEW DATE – VEQ’s Out & About invites you to hop on a bus and come blueberry picking and picnicking with us in St. Nicolas (Bleuetière des Alouettes). After the picnic, we will head out to the Bleuetière Vire Crêpes for coffee and (blueberry!) ice-cream.

Out & About invites you to hop on a bus, visit and shop at the Grand Marché du Québec. Come have an ice cream! Come discover the local gourmet and food stores and enjoy the shaded picnic area if you choose to have a late lunch!
Voice of English-speaking Québec invites people over 50 living in the Northern Perimeter to hop on the bus as we go to the Island of Orleans with the Centre d’amitié autochtone de Québec.
Bring your wallets and shopping bags: lunch, fresh produce, a bakery visit, cheese shop visit, possible u pick fruits, and a visit to a cultural centre are all in store.
