We can pick anyone up who lives in the Ste-Foy area if you would like to get a ride on the bus, or you could meet the bus at the Jeffery Hale Pavilion (1270 chemin Ste-Foy). You are also welcome to meet us at the Bingo Hall (Le Bingo de la Capitale – 100 rue Chabot, Quebec, QC G1M 1K2). There is a small cost associated with playing Bingo, ranging from 50 cents to $5 a card.

During the summer of 1942, German U-Boats entered the Gulf of St. Lawrence and sank over two dozen Allied ships. The devastation was so great that the British Admiralty had to order the shutdown of the whole St. Lawrence system.
Based on the logs, and interviews with the surviving U-boat commanders, this illustrated lecture describes the extraordinary circumstances under which this campaign took place. It also relates several German spy missions in Canada waters and an incredible breakout of captured German submarine commanders from their camp in Ontario. Brain Power – Drop-In (Shannon) – Wednesday, August 28th (10:00 am-Noon)
Get ready for a stimulating session of Brain Power—Drop-In at the VEQ Community Space! Strengthen your mind while connecting with others in a fun and relaxed environment. This event features a variety of board games that are both fun and challenging, offering the perfect way to exercise your brain and socialize with others.
We’ll also provide tea, coffee, and healthy snacks to refresh and energize you throughout the morning. Whether you’re a seasoned board games enthusiast or just looking for a new way to engage your mind, this event has something for everyone. The atmosphere will be welcoming and inclusive, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and engaged.
Beyond playing games, you’ll have the chance to meet new people and form meaningful connections. Sharpen your cognitive skills and enjoy a few hours of friendly competition in our warm, inviting community space, which makes relaxing and having a great time accessible.
