Tickets now on sale for QAC’s The School for Scandal

Tickets can now be reserved for Quebec Art Company’s devilish farce, The School for Scandal, which premières on the stage of Holland Elementary School on Thursday, May 19. There will be three other performances of the comedy of manners, on Friday, May 20; Saturday, May 21; and a matinee on Sunday, May 22.

The poster for the play comes from an oil painting by noted local artist Miriam “Minum” Blair.
The School for Scandal, by R.B. Sheridan, was first performed in May 1777. A review of a 1995 production starring Tony Randall called the play “a superbly crafted laugh machine, and so timeless in delivering delectable comeuppance to a viper’s nest of idle-rich gossipmongers, that you’d practically have to club it to death to stifle its amazing pleasures.”

The QAC version, adapted by director Mark Lepitre and featuring a spirited cast, promises the same pleasures.
