When learning a new language, it is inevitable to sometimes get lost in translation. My beginnings in French were quite hilarious and often embarrassing, but at least it made me giggle. I remember that at first, I used to think that the “hôtel de ville” was a hotel chain, like Marriott, Hilton, Barceló, etc.

One of the recommendations that you will often hear is “check the forecast daily” and with all due reason, especially in the winter. It is important though to learn the vocabulary and expressions associated with the natural phenomena, which is why VEQ in collaboration with Canadian Parents for French is organising this fun game night.
