Youth & Education Coordinator
Located in the heart of Old Québec, the Morrin Centre is a National Historic Site and a cultural
centre dedicated to English-language culture.
Under the supervision of the Executive Director and the General Manager, the Youth &
Education Coordinator will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering the Morrin
Centre’s educational and youth programming. The incumbent will oversee school tours as well
as activities for youth and families, and will work closely with the team to integrate the
educational component into the Centre’s broader programming.
The Youth & Education Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Designing, planning, and implementing educational activities (STEAM, storytime, youth book clubs, etc.);
- Leading activities or coordinating facilitators;
- Organizing and supervising school group visits;
- Developing educational materials and collaborating with teachers;
- Building partnerships with schools and organizations to reach new audiences;
- Contributing to research and preparation of education-related grant applications;
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure program alignment;
- Evaluating activities and preparing reports.
The candidate must demonstrate a high level of autonomy and strong teamwork skills.
Applicants should have a strong interest in education, cultural transmission, and working with
youth. Strong organizational skills, initiative, and communication abilities are essential.
Candidates must have an advanced level of written and spoken English and French. Experience
in education or cultural mediation is considered a strong asset. Candidates must have
completed post-secondary studies in a relevant field, such as:
- Education
- History
- Museology
- Cultural Animation
- Communications
- Or any related field
Candidates will be selected based on their work experience, knowledge of both official languages, and communication skills. The selected candidate may be required to work evenings and weekends. The position will remain open until filled.
