Summer Reading Program Coordinator

The Morrin Centre, a National Historic Site and English-language cultural centre in the heart of Old Quebec, is hiring a Summer Reading Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible (alongside the Education Coordinator) for the planning and development of the Centre’s Summer Reading Program for children, as well as its storytime and art activities.

Candidates should have a keen interest in literature, strong communication skills, and must be energetic, out-going, and punctual. They must be able to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Candidates must also have advanced knowledge of both spoken and written French and English.

The successful candidate will have completed at least one year of post-secondary studies in one of the following fields:

· Education;
· Library Studies;
· Literature;
· History (or a related discipline, such as Art History or Music History);
· Museology;
· Or another relevant discipline.

The selection process will be based on an evaluation of the candidate’s communication skills, past experience, and knowledge of both official languages. This is a full-time position and includes evening/weekend work.

Start date: May 27, 2024
End date: August 31, 2024
Salary: $18/hour
