Danielle Ducharme – Speech Therapist

Danielle received her Master’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 2008.  Her love for language and her desire to help those in need shaped her decision to become a Speech-Language Pathologist.  As a child, her love of language was apparent in her bilingual development and attendance at the French language schools in Ontario.  From 2008-2014, Danielle worked within the school system and in private practice focusing on language delays and disorders, articulation and phonological disorders (including tongue thrust) as well as fluency disorders in the preschool and school-age population.  She has extensive experience in dealing with bilingual language development and intervention. In 2014, family changes brought Danielle to Québec City where she has been working in private practice ever since.  She is certified Hanen It Takes Two to Talk a parent-child program for children with language delays and is trained in PROMPT (Prompts for restructuring oral muscular phonetic targets) Level 1 for children with apraxia. She is a member of the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Québec as well as the American Speech and Hearing Association.
