Community Art Programs for All Ages

Have you taken some time for you lately?

The process of creating art is good for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of people of all ages. Here are only a few benefits of painting: improves memory, sharpens the mind, builds problem-solving and motor skills, relieves stress, promotes an optimistic attitude, and nurtures emotional growth.

If this sounds good to you, you’re in luck because the community Wellness Centre at Jeffery Hale offers an art program that is open to everyone, of any age. (Sorry though, it’s not a place to practice English as a second language).

There are two groups that meet in room 2109 on the second floor of the pavilion on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. from September to May. Under the kind and helpful guidance of animator Elsa Moreau, it’s a great place to explore your creative side in a positive and relaxed atmosphere. $10 per session. No reservation required.

So come on, break out of your routine and join the Community Art program at the Wellness Centre by emailing efleming@jhpartners.net.

Ask us about the other art groups specially for caregivers, newcomers and special needs clients.
