We are always looking for English-speaking volunteer monitors  to facilitate the chatting at the tables while we work. \nThe Chitchat Club is tailor-made for those who wish to practice speaking French and/or English while keeping their hands busy. This project will take place from June 2016 to March 2017 and will conclude with a special event where all community members will be invited to view the mural showcasing our community’s rich heritage and unique identity. The mural will then become a permanent exhibit in our community Wellness Centre. VEQ will provide materials to participants. This project is funded by Canadian Heritage.

DESCRIPTION:Caregiver’s Fiesta-Honouring National Caregiver’s week \nThe Caring Circle Café an oasis  for local  English-speakers caring for aging family members and they are looking for a few enthusiastic volunteers to help out at the upcoming Caregivers’ Fiesta in honour of National Caregiver’s Week. We will be giving our caregivers the royal treatment that day including facials\, foot soaking and scrub\, paraffin treatments for hands\, as well as music and art therapy. We will be training caring volunteers to help us provide these services! \nThe Fiesta will take place Tuesday\, November  8  from 10 to noon. DESCRIPTION:The Chit Chat Club is currently at max capacity for volunteers and participants. We are always looking for English-speaking volunteer monitors  to facilitate the chatting at the tables while we work. \nThe Chitchat Club is tailor-made for those who wish to practice speaking French and/or English while keeping their hands busy. Volunteer second language teachers act as conversation monitors and guide discussion groups while chatty volunteers work in teams to wash toys\, prepare children’s crafts\, organize cupboards\, fold pamphlets and attend to other interesting assignments for the Wellness Centre programs. \nUpcoming Dates \nFridays\, 9:30 to 11:30 am \nSeptember 30\, 2016\nOctober 28\, 2016\nNovember 25\, 2016\nJanuary 20\, 2017\nFebruary 17\, 2017\nMarch 31\, 2017\nMay 26\, 2017 \nSpecial Request \nWe are still currently looking for native English-speaking volunteers to facilitate the chatting at these tables while we work. Many of our volunteers are very eager to hear and speak in English with English-speakers. If you are interested in helping in this way\, we would happily welcome new additions to our team.
