SUMMARY:Quebec City Kilt Skate
DESCRIPTION:Sláinte Mnath \nThe first annual Quebec City Kilt Skate will be held at the Anneau Rink on the historic Plains of Abraham February 18\, 2023 at 5.30pm. The skate is part of The Great Canadian Kilt Skate coordinated by the Scottish Society of Ottawa from coast to coast and features 14 Canadian and two American cities. Here are some fun highlights from previous years and participating communities:\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF0w7m28e_Y \nThe Great Canadian Kilt Skate celebrates the longstanding cultural relationship between Scottish and Canadien/Quebecois dating back to eighteenth century and beyond. The Auld Alliance! The Kilt Skate is held in association with the Morrin Cultural Centre with musical support by members of the 78th Fraser Highlanders. For more information here’s a link to their website: https://www.78thfraser.ca/ \nWe will honour the flags of Canada\, Scotland and Quebec with bagpipes and a ceremonial loop of the oval rink.
