SUMMARY:Game Night for Newcomers
DESCRIPTION:We understand how stressful the past years have been\, which is why we’d like to continue providing you with opportunities to let it all out in a fun\, amicable\, relaxed environment\, and what better way than by playing board games\, or card games\, and sharing with new friends? One of the things we missed the most was the spontaneity and no one feels like registering anymore\, we get it! However\, since we will be providing refreshments (juice\, coffee\, tea\, hot cocoa) and snacks\, we’d like to have an idea of how many people to expect so we can plan accordingly. Having said this\, please take a minute to register here! Feel free to bring along a friend\, classmate\, or partner. \n  \nWe have more than two dozens of new games for you to explore and enjoy\, most of them in English (or that can be played in any language) and a good amount in French as well\, for the intrepid ones that would like to practice their French skills. \n \nCome socialise with other newcomers while playing games in English and in French. \nDoors open at 5:30 p.m.! \nRegister here!\n  \nWe encourage you to register so we can prepare accordingly. For example\, we will have some yummy snacks to nibble\, like mini quiches\, but we need to have an idea of how many people to expect!

SUMMARY:Health 101 & Winter in Québec
DESCRIPTION:Did you recently move to the Greater Québec City region and have questions about the provincial health care system? SUMMARY:Online Kahoot: French expressions
DESCRIPTION:  \nWhen learning a new language\, it is inevitable to sometimes get lost in translation. My beginnings in French were quite hilarious and often embarrassing\, but at least it made me giggle. I remember that at first\, I used to think that the “hôtel de ville” was a hotel chain\, like Marriott\, Hilton\, Barceló\, etc. Now learning idioms and expressions is even trickier! Sometimes\, the best way of learning their meaning is by simply using them\, which is why VEQ in collaboration with Canadian Parents for French is organising this fun game night. \nAt the end of the game\, the winner of the game will get a $40 gift card (from Chocolats Favoris). Another gift card will be raffled among all participants. \nTo register for this fun activity\, please click here. \n
