About the Position<\/strong>
Reporting to the General Manager and the Executive Director, the Head Guide is responsible for
overseeing the daily operation of the Morrin Centre’s guided tours and gift shop while ensuring
an outstanding visitor experience.
The successful candidate will supervise the guide team, coordinate schedules and training,
personally lead public and private guided tours, and work closely with the Business
Development & Sales Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of all confirmed group
bookings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responsibilities<\/strong>
\u25cf Lead public and private guided tours in both English and French;
\u25cf Coordinate daily guided tour operations;
\u25cf Recruit, train, schedule and supervise the guide team;
\u25cf Coach staff and conduct performance evaluations;
\u25cf Ensure exceptional customer service and visitor satisfaction;
\u25cf Welcome visitors and respond to operational issues;
\u25cf Oversee the daily operation of the gift shop;
\u25cf Manage inventory, merchandising and sales reporting;
\u25cf Research and develop new gift shop products that reflect the Morrin Centre’s mission
and enhance the visitor experience;
\u25cf Coordinate staffing requirements for tours and group bookings;
\u25cf Collaborate with the Business Development & Sales Coordinator to ensure the
successful delivery of all confirmed tours;
\u25cf Maintain tour statistics and operational reports;
\u25cf Assist with daily operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

\u25cf Postsecondary education in Tourism, History, Museum Studies, Heritage Interpretation,
Business Administration or a related field;
\u25cf Excellent written and spoken French and English;
\u25cf Experience supervising staff or volunteers;
\u25cf Experience in tourism, museums, hospitality or visitor services is considered an asset.

\u25cf A natural leader who enjoys coaching and motivating others;
\u25cf Passionate about history, heritage and storytelling;
\u25cf Organized and able to manage multiple priorities;
\u25cf Professional, approachable and customer focused;
\u25cf Comfortable speaking to groups and engaging audiences;
\u25cf A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.

\u25cf Full-time position (35 hours\/week);
\u25cf Flexible work schedule;
\u25cf Regular evening and weekend work required;
\u25cf Combination of administrative, supervisory and front-line visitor service responsibilities.
