Spend a cozy afternoon immersed in bilingual poetry and song, with live performances by Roger Bontemps Dub\u00e9 and Owen Ferguson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to the performances by singer-songwriters Roger Bontemps Dub\u00e9 and Owen Ferguson, this gathering is both an open mic and open stage session. You can join a sing-along, play your instrument, read poetry, or simply listen.<\/p>\n

Having worked in the field of interactive entertainment and teaching as a graphic designer,\u00a0Roger Bontemps Dub\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s career took a turn in 2003. It was then that he published his first children\u2019s book,\u00a0Presto et Balthazar<\/i>, with great success. As if by magic, he subsequently transformed into a modern-day troubadour. Since then, he has performed brilliantly in different contexts: libraries, schools, festivals, and book fairs.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Owen Ferguson<\/strong>\u00a0is a PhD student and solo musician from Ontario. As a member of the\u00a0Strong Threads<\/i>\u00a0poetry group, he began weaving spoken word into his songs as a way to showcase poetry alongside music. His latest album,\u00a0On Loss<\/i>\u00a0(2025), explores the grieving process through full-band arrangements and stripped-back acoustic guitar layered with poetry. Outside of music, Owen is a mediocre hockey goalie and is finishing his PhD on Parkinson\u2019s disease. At this show, expect a mix of singing, guitar, poetry, and open conversation.<\/p>\n

Luc Murray Mercier<\/strong>\u00a0is a library assistant at the Morrin Centre, a graduate student in English literature at Universit\u00e9 Laval, and an artist whose practice ranges from performance to painting by way of sound and installation art, dance, and writing.<\/p>\n
