SUMMARY:Partners in Care: Living Environments
DESCRIPTION:The Partners in Care educational capsules aim to inform caregivers and family members about clinical topics to promote effective collaboration with care teams. These workshops are offered by the Jeffery Hale Community Partners and are made possible through funding by L’APPUI pour les Proches Aidants. \nThese sessions are designed to build a shared understanding of care standards and well-being in residential settings. They will be held in both English and French\, alternating between the two languages. While this may slow the pace slightly\, it allows us to welcome more people and respect everyone’s preferred language. \n\nAppui Proches Aidants \n

SUMMARY:Lifelong Learning - Nutritional Advice- Is there a solution to the confusion?
DESCRIPTION:This event is a community partnership event with the Community Wellness Centre at Jeffery Hale and Lifelong Learning. It is open to all adults in the Quebec City area. \nFacilitator: Joe Schwarcz PhD \nEating has become a confusing experience.  Virtually every day brings news about some “miracle food” that we should be gulping down.  One day it’s tomatoes to prevent cancer\, then flaxseed against heart disease or soybeans for menopause.  Then there are the worries: genetic modification\, aspartame\, MSG\, the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements.  We need proper science to guide us through this nutritional maze. \nThis will be a hybrid session. To register please contact Anaïs Fortin-Maltais at afortinmaltais@jhpartners.net or call her at 581-446-7476.
