DESCRIPTION:VEQ in partnership with the Valcartier Military Family Resource Center will be hosting chair yoga classes in the Northern Perimeter.  Running every Tuesday from September 16th to December 15th\, the classes will be held from 9:30 to 10:30am.  A chair yoga session compliments a guided meditation during this 50 minute long class.  Equipment is provided but participants are asked to bring their own mats if they have them. DESCRIPTION:Creative Community:\nAcrylic Paint with Darwin Drolet\n\n\n\n\nAn exciting artistic experience awaits you as acrylic paint is used for a creative activity!+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome create your very own artwork inspired by the thoughts and feelings evoked by Quebec’s winters. You’ll learn how to use acrylics just like you’d use watercolour and how to use winter’s bounty as a creative toolbox. We will take some time to discuss winter in Quebec and its symbolism. \nPlease bring warm outdoor clothes with you as a small portion of the workshop will take place outdoors. \nThis activity is bilingual\, English and French will be used alternately. It is open to all\, with no previous experience required. SUMMARY:The Grief Recovery Method Course
DESCRIPTION:For eight weeks\, come together over Zoom with CMA Medeiros\, a trained and certified specialist in the Grief Recovery Method.  In this Grief Recovery Method course\, she will guide you through the following: \n\nMeet\, discuss grief\, reactions\, and responses to grief.\nGet a clear view of how grief can build up.\nPractice compassion for yourself and others\,\nDevelop deep listening skills and start to increase your vocabulary related to emotions.\nAcquire practical lifelong skills for processing and dealing with loss and grief.\nLearn how to listen and support others moving forward.\nGain tools to help you recognize your feelings and emotions tied to losses\,\nEquip yourself to make choices about moving through grief that won’t weigh you down.\n\nThis learning experience is about two skills that go hand in hand: How to compassionately witness others who grieve and learning how to be present with your own grief. \nImportant notes \n\nThere will be class discusion during the sessions and weekly homework.  Homework will include reading\, writing and journaling exercises.\nWe will provide you with a copy of the book for free.\nWe require you to register for this Grief Recovery Method course as places are limited.
