DESCRIPTION:Send us your contribution for the Morrin Centre’s Stories of Our Community project writing contest! \n\n\n\nDate: February 17\, 2025\nTime: 23:00 – 23:30\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe hope to receive many different types of writing related to personal stories and popular history. You can write a story of 200 to 2000 words\, in English or French\, in any genre of your choice: prose\, poetry\, journalistic writing\, letters\, etc. \nSubmission deadline: February 17\, 2025 \n  \nFor questions or submissions\, please reach out to us at info@morrin.org. \nThis contest is open to all\, the Morrin Centre members and people from different Quebec regions. \nThe winning story and the runners-up will be published in the Stories of Our Community booklet that will be made available in a digital version on our social media and as a paper copy in the Library.

It’s going to be a blast! \nS.T.E.A.M Club is a  program for children ages 8 to 12. \nThe S.T.E.A.M. (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, and Math) Club welcomes children ages 7 to 12 who love to experiment\, create\, and learn more about the world around them. Each week\, we will explore different scientific or artistic themes. You are invited to participate in the 1824 Historical Gala activities in your best clothes inspired by the years 1820 to 1860! \nThe Afternoon\n2 p.m. to 6 p.m. \nThe afternoon will include games\, dance\, poetry\, music\, and a small buffet\, along with short museum theater presentations. \n60 tickets available. \nThe Banquet\n6 p.m. to 9 p.m. \nThis evening banquet features a historically inspired three-course meal along with presentations from food historian Catherine Ferland. \n40 tickets are available. \nPlease note that the number of available tickets for the banquet is smaller than the number of tickets available for the afternoon. \nFor more information about the event\, please visit morrin.org/1824gala.
