DESCRIPTION:Culinary Mosaic – Chop Suey Through the Ages \n\n\nThis cooking workshop will be given in French and will teach how to make chop suey. \nFrom scones to chicken fricassee\, the Culinary Mosaic series of workshops at the Morrin Centre offer a wonderful opportunity to prepare dishes and learn about the history of the English and French Canadian food traditions. A variety of dishes will be presented by and made under the guidance of chef\, writer\, stylist\, consultant\, and entrepreneur Héloïse Leclerc from La Touche Héloïse. DESCRIPTION:Meeting people in a new city where the official language is probably not one you are fluent in can be challenging. VEQ has organised a FREE self-guided visit to the Civilisation Museum\, where you will surely not lack conversation topics! \nSince it is required by the museum\, we have access to a specific number of attendees\, and registration is required. The maximum capacity is 24 people\, regardless of age. \nThe guided tour for  “This Is Our Story” exhibit is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Please note that for this exhibit we must respect the time allotted to our group. Once the guided tour is over\, you are free to continue visiting the other exhibits at the museum (free of cost). SUMMARY:Winter Storytime - Morrin Centre
DESCRIPTION:Storytime: Nine Color Deer\n\n\n\n\nThis Saturday\, we will be reading Nine Color Dear – story originated more than a thousand years ago\, found in the famous Magao Caves\, in China. This is a gorgeous story about generosity and gratitude\, adapted from a traditional Buddhist tale by Kailin Duan. \n\n\n\n\n \nStorytime is a literacy program for children ages 3 to 7. Each activity begins with the reading of a story followed by a craft inspired by its themes. Our objective is to foster children’s love of reading by providing fun\, interactive activities that will encourage them to continue reading after each session. \nAll sessions are free and take place in the Library every Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. \nTo sign up or for further information\, please contact Education Coordinator Manuela Flores Denti at manuelafloresdenti@morrin.org.
