DESCRIPTION:VEQ in partnership with the Valcartier Military Family Resource Center will be hosting chair yoga classes in the Northern Perimeter.  Running from September 12th to December 12th\, the classes will be held from 9:30 to 10:30am.  A chair yoga session compliments a guided meditation during this 50 minute long class.  Equipment is provided but participants are asked to bring their own mats if they have them. SUMMARY:Double Book Launch – Evening of Bilingual Poetry
DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us for a bilingual evening of poetry to celebrate the launch of D.M. Bradford‘s Bottom Rail on Top & T. Liem’s Slows: Twice! The Tiohtià:ke/Montréal-based poets will be joined by Québec’s own Simon Brown and Pascal Bérubé. An evening of English and French (and sometimes translated) readings\, to celebrate the launch of these two new books! \nLearn more about the books and the authors on the Facebook event. This event requires no registration\, but we encourage you to mark yourself as “attending” on the Facebook event\, to make preparations easier for us. \n  \nPresented in collaboration with Brick Books and in partnership with CONTOURS. \n  \nThe Morrin Centre’s performance spaces are accessible by elevator and there are ramps between the rooms for people with mobility issues. There is also a ramp on rue Saint-Anne to get into the Centre itself\, though it needs to be unlocked by a staff member. There is a wheelchair on-site if necessary.

VEQ will provide the transportation to the Grande Plée Bleue for FREE. Once there\, we will take an interpretive tour (2.5 hours) guided by experts in the field. The trail is 3\,4 kilometers on flat terrain so families can bring a trail stroller. \n\n When selecting your tickets on Eventbrite\, choose “VEQ Newcomer” if you are a newcomer from the Greater Québec City region.
