DESCRIPTION:Movie viewing & Discussion with artists // Visionnement de films et discussion avec les artistes\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Event\n\n\nIn partnership with the Festival du cinéma de la ville de Québec\, the Morrin Centre presents Moving Pictures\, a series of five events showcasing independent films by Anglophone Quebec filmmakers. From short films for teenagers to a documentary about Montreal’s underground art scene\, everyone can find something to appreciate and enjoy in this project. \nDuring this event\, discover the 2011 drama The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom (16+). \nElizabeth Alison Gray is just your average suburban eleven-year-old waiting for adolescence to arrive when she finds out her whole life has been a lie. With only her imagination to guide her\, she runs away to find the truth. \nUpon registration\, viewers will be emailed a link to the film. Once the link has been clicked\, the film will be available for 48 hours. Are you eager to go out while connecting with others? \nJoin us either on Friday\, March 5th\, or Saturday\, March 6 to go on a walk lit by torchlights. \nWhile the authorities will allow in-person social gatherings during that week\, we still have to comply with the safety measures\, like keeping a physical distance from each other and wearing a mask at all times. Still\, we’re happy to be able to meet and greet you outside of the virtual world! \nAt the end of the event\, a participation prize will be awarded to a lucky winner of a $25 gift card from the commerce of choice. \n*** As per the authority’s guidelines\, a maximum of 8 people are allowed to get together in outdoor social gatherings.
