SUMMARY:Picture This – Photography Composition
DESCRIPTION:Come discover the secrets of composition in photography with professional photographer Jacques Gaines \nWith the help of professional photographer Jacques Gaines\, the Morrin Centre offers a series of five photography workshops. Whether a $100 camera or a $5000 camera\, we do not care. Anything goes! It can even be your phone\, though it should then be a fairly recent phone.\nThe picture you are most proud of. It can be a digital copy or a print. (You do not have to show it to the class).\nIn addition to that\, please: \nDress for the weather outside. After the workshop\, for those willing\, the teacher will sometimes do a small photo walk if we have the time.\nMake sure you have eaten before coming. It’s not fun having a student in a bad mood! \nFull details here.

SUMMARY:Lifelong Learning: Thespian for a Day
DESCRIPTION:This event is open to all adults age 50+ in the Quebec City area. \nFacilitator:Meb Reisner\, Lifelong Learning Member \nSession 3 of 4: Become a thespian for a day as the Lifelong Learning room transforms into the Globe Theatre with a reading of William Shakespeare’s“The Tempest”! Each week\, participants will choose a character at random to read aloud while our facilitator discusses the play. \nThe Tempest is a “bewitching play” and Shakespeare’s final piece of work. The story concerns Miranda\, a lovely young maiden\, and Prospero\, her philosophical old magician father\, who dwell on an enchanted island\, alone except for their servants: Ariel (an invisible spirit) and Caliban (a monstrous witch’s son). The Tempest contains some of Shakespeare’s most familiar and oft-quoted lines and is a story of comedy\, romance\, and reconciliation. \nTO REGISTER: email info@lifelonglearningquebec.org Programme Coordinator or call418.681.1258. Space is limited. \nSign up for the Lifelong Learning mailing list to notification of upcoming activities.
