DESCRIPTION:New to Québec and curious about how the bus system works? Or have you been living here for years and want to see how public transit can make daily life easier? Either way\, this workshop is for you! \nJoin us for a free 1-hour session at the RTC (Réseau de transport de la Capitale) office\, where you’ll receive a complete introduction to using public transit in Québec City. The session will cover: \n\n\nHow to read bus schedules and plan your trips \n\n\nWhere and how to buy tickets or monthly passes \n\n\nTips for saving money with special fares and offers \n\n\nA hands-on practice session using simulators to help you feel confident before riding \n\n\nAn overview of digital tools and resources that make public transit easier to use \n\n\n \nAfter the session\, we’ll take a bus together to explore the Saint-Jean-Baptiste area and enjoy lunch (not covered by VEQ). Stops may include the Chocolate Museum\, Épi Fanny\, Chouquette\, the historic pharmacy founded in 1880\, Carotte Joyeuse\, and a European grocery store. \nFree bus tickets will be provided to all workshop participants.After this experience\, you’ll be ready to explore the city by bus with confidence. \nThis workshop is free of charge and open to everyone. \nThis activity is offered in collaboration with SAMI\, the RTC’s Integrated Mobility Support Service. DESCRIPTION:We are happy to invite you once again to a Sugar Shack experience featuring traditional Québécois flavours\, live folk music\, and fun outdoor activities! \nVEQ will be covering a large portion of the ticket cost (We will cover $20 per adult\, so instead of $54.25\, you will pay $34.25) to make this experience affordable for everyone. We will also provide transportation by bus from our office (1270 chemin Ste-Foy). \nOpen to all! \nWe have only 40 spots available\, so be sure to reserve yours as soon as possible. \nTO BOOK YOUR TICKET \nA sugar shack (cabane à sucre in French) is a traditional maple syrup-producing cabin found in Québec and other parts of eastern Canada. It is a place where people gather in late winter or early spring to enjoy a traditional meal and taste fresh maple syrup. Originally\, sugar shacks were built near maple tree groves where maple sap was collected and boiled to produce maple syrup. Today\, many sugar shacks operate as seasonal restaurants offering traditional Quebecois meals and entertainment. \nPlus\, enjoy classic sugar shack activities:\n🪗Live traditional music during the meal\n🍭 Maple taffy on snow\n🛷Snow slides\, snow scooters & children’s snowshoes\n🌲 Scenic trails around the sugar shack and access to all outdoor installations \nIt is very important to let us know if you have any allergies right after you book your ticket!
