*** NEW EVENT ***
Ladies and gentlemen, this may be your chance to find your Fiona or your Shrek! We are visiting for the first time ever, a peat bog in Beaumont. VEQ will provide the transportation to the Grande Plée Bleue for FREE. Once there, we will take an interpretive tour (2.5-3 hours long) guided by experts in the field. The trail is 3,4 kilometers on flat terrain so families can bring a trail stroller.
The visit is free and donations to the Conservation Society are encouraged.
***Registration is required!*** The maximum of people is 15, children included.
It is recommended to bring the following:
- Sunscreen and bug repellent
- Hat, sunglasses and a water bottle
- Binoculars
- Good walking shoes (definitely do not recommend flip flops)
- Your smile!
- Snacks (it will be a long morning)
- A picnic lunch? The estimated time of arrival in Québec City is around 1:00 PM, there is a gorgeous park across the street (Samuel-Holland Park) with picnic tables, small tables, and chairs. Perfect place to fuel up and continue enjoying your Saturday.
Since the boardwalk in the bog doesn’t permit a 2 meters’ distance between visitors the mask must be worn at all times.
