Join a visionary team advancing health equity and social inclusion for English-speaking communities across Quebec. The Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN) is seeking a strategic, bilingual leader to serve as Director of Programs—a pivotal role shaping the design, delivery, and impact of province-wide initiatives that empower communities and strengthen access to health and social services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Programs provides high-level oversight and coordination of CHSSN’s core programs, ensuring they are responsive, inclusive, and aligned with our mission. This is a rare opportunity to lead with both heart and strategy—building partnerships, guiding teams, and translating vision into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of CHSSN programs with a focus on quality, accountability, and community relevance.
  • Oversee Health Canada–funded initiatives including the Networking and Partnership Initiative (NPI), Adaptation, and Knowledge Development programs.
  • Supervise a team of project managers and coordinators and collaborate across teams to ensure strategic implementation.
  • Monitor program budgets and work closely with the Director of Finance on forecasting and reporting.
  • Represent CHSSN at events and in stakeholder relations, championing our mission and values.

What You Bring

  • A master’s degree (preferred) in Public/Community Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a director-level role, with a strong track record in program leadership and team management.
  • Deep understanding of Quebec’s English-speaking communities and the health and social services landscape.
  • Fluency English and French both spoken and written
  • Excellent communication and financial oversight skills.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and databases such as Airtable (or similar platforms).

Work Environment

  • Location: Quebec City office, with regular travel across Quebec.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
