Maintenance & Facilities Assistant (Summer Position)

The Anglican Diocese of Quebec is seeking a motivated and reliable Maintenance & Facilities Assistant to join our team for the summer through the EEC Program (must be between 16 and 25 years old). You will be working at different buildings of the Diocese but mainly in Old Quebec.

Working under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will help maintain a historic site and ensure that buildings and outdoor spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors.

Position Details

  • 35 hours per week
  • 8-week summer position
  • We pay your bus pass to get here
  • Depending on your experience wages are from 17$ to 19$ an hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and common areas
  • Assist with basic maintenance and minor repairs
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report maintenance issues
  • Maintain outdoor spaces, including gardening, watering, weeding, and litter collection
  • Help set up and take down equipment for events and community activities
  • Organize and maintain maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous maintenance, landscaping, or custodial experience is an asset but not required
