Pan-Canadian consultations for the renewal of the federal Official Languages strategy were recently launched by Canadian Heritage Minister Mélanie Joly, who invites all Canadians to share their opinions or comments on the role of English and French in Canadian society. The Government of Canada is committed to developing a new official languages plan to support English linguistic minority communities. The QCGN is taking a leadership role for Quebec’s English-speaking community’s participation in this key opportunity, providing members, community and supporting stakeholders with their strategic development priorities and expectations regarding the federal government’s new official languages plan. We strongly encourage you to complete the online questionnaire. Read the Minister’s news release here. More details on the consultation and the link to the online questionnaire here.
