CANADA DAY will be celebrated with a great lineup of FREE activities and festivities will be on offer at two great Quebec City locations: Dufferin Terrace and The Plains of Abraham.

There will be activities, ceremonies, entertainment, and performances all day long. And be sure to stick around for the nighttime fireworks display!

On Canada’s 150th birthday, activities on the Plains of Abraham behind the Musée national des Beaux-Arts du Québec will begin at 9 am. People can gather for crossfit sessions followed by yoga, and cardio and weight exercises. At 10 a.m., Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral-Basilica Notre-Dame de Québec.

Following this, the Royal 22e Régiment will perform a flag-raising ceremony on Dufferin Terrasse. At 1 p.m., the Château Frontenac will serve the largest birthday cake their chefs have ever made.

During the afternoon, the public is invited to enjoy cake, arts and crafts, games, a mini-farm, animation and more. Caillou and Paw Patrol characters will be there, as will magician Yannick Bergeron.

The day will finish with a bang! with fireworks display on the Plains on the sports field in front of the Musée des Beaux Arts.
